Texas, Estados Unidos.- Cinco años después de perder a su hija en un accidente automovilístico, una familia de Texas vuelve a conmover con una historia de amor y solidaridad, La fundación creada en memoria de Kenli Riney, una joven de apenas 18 años, ha entregado 67 becas para ayudar a otros estudiantes a cumplir sus sueños.
En julio de 2021, Kenli falleció cuando su vehículo se incendió tras un accidente, cuatro personas intentaron rescatarla, entre ellas Mike Argote y su hija Ema, quien entonces tenía 14 años, aunque hicieron todo lo posible por ayudarla, la joven no sobrevivió.
Conmovidos por la valentía de quienes intentaron salvarla, sus padres, Marjohn y Kevin Riney, decidieron transformar su dolor en esperanza y crearon la Fundación Kenli, dedicada a reconocer a jóvenes que destacan por su solidaridad y disposición para ayudar a los demás.
La historia volvió a cobrar relevancia este año, cuando se dieron a conocer los resultados de la organización, que ya ha otorgado 67 becas por un total de 67 mil dólares.
Entre las beneficiarias se encuentra Ema Argote, la misma adolescente que intentó auxiliar a Kenli junto a su padre, este año Ema recibió una beca para continuar sus estudios universitarios, convirtiéndose en parte de la historia de solidaridad que comenzó aquel día.
Aunque Kenli nunca pudo cumplir su sueño de convertirse en veterinaria, su memoria sigue abriendo oportunidades para otros jóvenes.
